The Office of Outreach and Engagement supports community-engaged work across the University of Connecticut.

Mission

The mission of O&E is to empower faculty, students, and staff to co-create knowledge with their community, achieving a meaningful impact.

Mission alignment

UConn’s 2025–2030 strategic plan calls for stronger community engagement through research, learning, and public service. It also calls for clearer ways to show UConn’s local, national, and global impact.

Strategic goals

  • Build support and recognition for engaged work by faculty, staff, and students.
  • Develop useful solutions with communities.
  • Prepare students for civic engagement.
